Delivery to Africa's Largest Multi-Channel Program Distributor Caps Record Year for ASC Signal Sales of Large-Aperture Antennas and Feed Systems to African Customers
Plano, Texas, USA (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- ASC Signal Corporation has achieved a milestone in its penetration of the African satellite communications market with a record year of deliveries of large-aperture satellite antenna systems to major customers on the continent. The company’s products are being used for a variety of applications from broadcast to telecom and broadband.
For example, one of Africa’s largest multi-channel program distributors has deployed a complete network of ASC’s 4.5-meter antenna systems configured for simultaneous transmit and receive, in either circular or linear polarity, without the need for any changes in antenna equipment. Major Telecom providers are using ASC 4.9m and 7.6m antennas, configured in a high-gain, dual-reflector configuration with ASC’s Next-Generation Controller (NGC), to support business-critical customer communications.
ASC is currently installing a 9.4m Ka-band gateway terminal in Johannesburg for use on the Inmarsat Global Xpress system. This innovative system incorporates many ASC technical advances including its patented sub-reflector tracking (SRT) technology, monopulse feed system, advanced environmental controls and the latest integrated beacon receiver to ensure top performance in this technically demanding application.
