Healdsburg, CA (PRWEB) July 01, 2015 -- The results are in! Wilson Artisan Wineries is proud to announce that one of their sister wineries, deLorimier Winery, has recently won the Platinum Award at the San Diego International Wine Competition.
The winery received the platinum medal on their 2011 Kenneth Carl Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as gold medals on their 2011 Warm Springs Reserve Cabernet, 2012 Harris Kratka Zinfandel and 2012 Stone Zinfandel.
The Kenneth Carl Reserve Cabernet offers dense aromatics of mixed dark berries laced with rich vanillin oak and a hint of warm spices. The richly-textured wine integrates supple tannins, vibrant acidity and fine-grained oak.
deLorimier Winery advises decanting the wine for at least one hour before serving. Pair it with a medium-rare beef Wellington or a Kobe dry-aged filet mignon.
Michael Franz, editor of the Wine Review Online, reviewed the Kenneth Carl Reserve Cabernet, saying, “Marvelously complete and complex, this wine shows layered aromatics, excellent depth of flavor, and a world-class finish that involves innumerable little nuances. The color is impressively dark, and the wine’s density is likewise quite notable.
