Demand for Reliable Technical Support and Service in Library Industry Drives LEID Products Expansion
Auburn Hills, MI (PRWEB) June 04, 2015 -- LEID Products, LLC., the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced that it is expanding its presence in the Ohio area to meet the growing demand for its Access.it and iLibrary solutions, driven by the company’s reputation for reliable service and support. The systems enable libraries to offer self-service after-hour pickup hours, or offer a complete standalone service branch to bring library service closer to outlying communities.
Each year, an increasing number of library patrons are utilizing Library ‘after-hours’ pickup service to access library materials. In years past library administrators found offering this service to be cumbersome; when problems occurred with the electronics, hardware and/or software, as the vendors they had purchased from did not offer service or support. The recent increase in LEID Products library sales has been driven by the company’s reputation for outstanding U.S. based support and service, which ensures library administrators a successful ‘after-hours pickup’ program.
Similar to many of the library administrators across the U.S., Director of Pickerington Library in Pickerington, Ohio, Suellen Goldsberry, constantly evaluates how to expand the library’s reach and impact. Though Pickerington Library offered extended hours, it was not enough to meet its demand. Goldsberry purchased LEID’s Access.it System with electronic library lockers after consulting with Worthington Ohio Library. Worthington had hired LEID Products to replace all of its electronic components at its offsite library pickup/drop-off location, and upgraded the old locker system to the LEID Electronic Access.it System, which saved a significant amount of money compared to doing a full replacement.
“Working with LEID Products has been a fantastic experience and we have had no issues,” said Lisa Fuller, Director of Community Engagement at Worthington Libraries. “Due to the popularity of the after-hours pickup service among our patrons, and the ease of working with LEID Products, we have purchased a third system directly from LEID Products for our storefront facility. Patrons, especially those with busy work scheduled, appreciate the convenience of picking up their library holds after hours.”
"The Pickerington Public Library chose LEID for our hold pick-up lockers because of their excellent customer service. After seeking proposals from other companies, LEID offered efficient response to our inquiries and a service contract on the units after installed," said Goldsberry. "I look forward to expanding our hold pick-up options and LEID will be our first call for new units."
LEID’s system encompasses the iLibrary PC Kiosk and Access.it electronic library lockers with keypad to store library holds for patron pick-up. Patrons can browse materials online or directly through the iLibrary System Kiosk; orders are placed through the kiosk or remotely via the internet using their library card number. Patrons can choose to receive an email or phone call with an access code when their materials are available for pick-up.
