Denver-based Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care to Sponsor the Mile Hive Bee Club’s 2nd Annual Honeybee Jubilee
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) September 03, 2014 -- On September 6, 2014, Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care is sponsoring the Mile Hive Bee Club’s 2nd Annual Honeybee to help promote the celebration of the end of the honey season and support beekeepers to raise awareness in the community about the impact bees have on society.
“Bees play an enormous role in all our lives; everyone can play a part to ensure the future of the honeybee and our own future at the same time. Come visit the Jubilee and learn about what you can do to help support the bees in your community and have fun doing it," says John Swayze Swingle Routing Manager and local beekeeper.
The event is free and open to the public, although donations are welcomed. The event will be held at To Bee or Not to Bee, 725 W 39th Ave. Denver, CO 80216 from 10am to 4pm. It will feature kid bee-themed activities, beekeeping lecturers throughout the day, a honey contest, live music and more. Visitors will also be able to observe a working bee hive. Swingle will have a booth providing information about making your Colorado Landscape bee friendly, so residents have the opportunity to help bees without making a significant investment of time or money.
Over the past several months, Swingle has taken measures to ensure the company provides quality service for customers and the community while having the least amount of impact on pollinators. Bees are a critical part of the environment and food supply, which is why Swingle has taken a stance to reduce the impact on honeybees while providing quality tree and plant health care services to customers in Colorado. In an effort to protect pollinators, Swingle recently worked with local, organic beekeepers in Fort Collins, Colorado to relocate beehives while performing tree removal services.
“We are excited about partnering with the Mile Hive Bee Club to help create awareness and educate the public about the benefits of pollinators. All proceeds and donations from the Honeybee Jubilee will go to benefit the Mile Hive Bee Club and their mission to support and nurture beekeepers and the bees they keep in Colorado.
