Department of Legal Services' Notaries Go Paperless
Eugene, OR (PRWEB) January 23, 2016 -- The Department of Legal Services, LLC, is taking notary public work to a whole new level thanks to the recent launch of its electronic notary service that delivers convenience and Eco-friendliness to clients on demand.
The agencies new electronic notary service couples with its already-offered mobile notary service to ensure clients in need of witnessed signatures enjoy expediency, accuracy and timeliness with every request for service. Courtesy of the technology behind the service, clients can also count on the notarization process being streamlined for brevity.
“We now offer complete electronic notarized services for home and auto borrowers, adoption signings, among other types of signings,” said Jeremy “Judge” Honor, director of operations for Department of Legal Services. “This enables us to electronically notarize loan documents and send them back to the lender, for example, electronically from the signing table without ever having to print a single page. This saves paper and reduces our carbon footprint, considering most home loan packages have about 400 pages and the majority of lenders will scan a copy of the signed documents for their records, only to shred the printed copies."
The new service relies on state-of-the-art technology, including the Panagio Pro UV Pen, to ensure ID's presented for electronic notarization are authentic. For those wishing to go truly paperless, the electronic process enables them to sign on the notary’s tablet and skip printing out hundreds of pages of documentation that can take hours to print and sign. The process works by first capturing the borrower’s initials and signature on the biometric pad. Once the signing is complete, the platform encrypts all data to meet Federal and State ESIGN and UETA law requirements.
“We also use an electronic notary journal, which replaces the old fashion paper log,” Honor said. “That means we can even speed up the process of recording signers’ information, as well.”
The Department of Legal Services, LLC, is a National Notary Association certified loan signing agent and is N.N.A background screened approved. The agency is also a proud member of the American Society of Notaries and the American Association of Notaries. Clients that use their notary services will find the agency carries a large amount of error and omission insurance and is bonded for their protection.
Keeping its promise to offer clients access to a complete line of legal support services, the agency has set its sights on further expansion during 2016. New services coming soon will include: private security, armed alarm response, armed courier transportation, private investigations, people locating, 1st call mortuary removal, funeral procession escorts, vehicle repossession spotting, dispatching trauma scene cleanup technicians among other services.
