Dermatologist Joins Husband in Nacogdoches Healthcare Community
Nacogdoches, TX (PRWEB) August 06, 2015 -- Starting August 20, 2015, dermatologist Michaela Overturf, MD, will serve local residents at Dermatology Associates of Nacogdoches. Dr. Overturf will oversee a number of specialty services including skin cancer prevention and treatment, cosmetic dermatology, and general dermatology cases such as rashes, acne, infections and more.
“Dermatology Associates of Nacogdoches will provide five exam rooms and two procedure rooms,” says Michael Taylor, East Texas Regional Manager of Dermatology Associates. “The facility is really nice, and we are happy to provide better access to dermatological care.”
Dr. Overturf graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, completing her internship at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Most recently, Dr. Overturf served as Chief Resident in Dermatology during her Dermatology Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Recently married, Dr. Overturf plans to join her husband, orthopedic surgeon Steven J. Overturf, MD, as they both serve patients throughout the Nacogdoches community.
“I have aspired to be a dermatologist since I was a young girl,” says Dr. Overturf. “The opening of our new clinic on August 20 cannot come soon enough!”
Dr. Overturf looks forward to making Nacogdoches her permanent home, along with her husband and their family.
“The people of Nacogdoches and its surrounding communities have been so warm and welcoming,” says Dr. Overturf. “My husband has loved Nacogdoches for many years, and I can see exactly why!”
She looks forward to providing comprehensive medical and surgical dermatology for all age groups, including the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer as well as cosmetic dermatology.
