Dermatology Associates Acquires Lone Star Dermatology, Cedar Park, Texas
Cedar Park, TX (PRWEB) October 08, 2015 -- Lone Star Dermatology, serving patients since 2003 with Dr. Aubrey Chad Hartmann leading the practice, is now part of Dermatology Associates.
The Central Texas region of Dermatology Associates includes six locations: Round Rock, Belton, Georgetown, Waco, San Antonio and now Cedar Park, totaling ten dermatologists and three physician assistants, making it one of the largest groups in the region.
The Cedar Park location is headed up by Dr. Hartmann, a Board Certified Dermatologist who performs medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatological procedures on patients of all ages. After completing medical school in 1998 at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, he returned to Southwestern where he completed his dermatology residency serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Hartmann received his board certification in dermatology from The American Board of Dermatology in 2002. In 2003, Dr. Hartmann, a 1990 graduate of Leander High School, returned home to open his Cedar Park office.
Also at the Cedar Park location is Dr. Jessica Scruggs Dorsey, a Board Certified Dermatologist, Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in 2008. In addition to general dermatology, Dr. Scruggs Dorsey has special interests in cutaneous oncology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and facial reconstruction. She has completed a highly selective fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
Dr. Laura Lester provides medical and surgical dermatology care and specializes in dermatopathology. She is board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Lester trained in Dermatology at The University of Texas at Houston where she rotated at MD Anderson, Harris County and Memorial Hermann hospitals and clinics. She then completed an accredited fellowship in dermatopathology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is proficient in Spanish and welcomes Spanish speaking patients to her practice.
Other members of the Cedar Park team include two certified physician assistants and a licensed medical aesthetician and certified laser technician.
