Despite Recent Home Price Increases, Inland Empire Real Estate Still SoCal’s Most Affordable
Ontario, California (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- The recent double-digit increase in home prices notwithstanding, residential real estate in the Inland Empire remains the most affordable in Southern California, according to Richardson & Associates Real Estate Group, Inc. The firm reports that the median prices in San Bernardino and Riverside counties this February were $225,000 and $285,000, respectively, making them the two lowest in the six-county SoCal region.
“Due to low inventory, the sales volume has gone down in both Riverside and San Bernardino as it has throughout Southern California this year, but the median prices have gone up in both counties,” says Ruthie Mickey, Richardson & Associates’ managing broker and Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “The median price of Upland homes for sale, for example, has increased by over 17 percent. This combination of low inventory, rising prices, and rising interest rates means that prospective homebuyers had best make their move soon to avoid getting priced out of the market.”
