Detroit Sports Commission Unveils New Website
Detroit, Michigan (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- The Detroit Sports Commission launched a new website today, enhancing detroitsports.org through a new four-year partnership with SIDEARM Sports.
"The new website and our new partnership with SIDEARM is an innovative step for the Detroit Sports Commission," said DSC Executive Director Dave Beachnau. "The new detroitsports.org is more user-friendly and showcases many new and upcoming features such as social media interaction, video and photo galleries."
The customized website was strategically designed to enhance functionality with a concise navigation. The site is enhanced with many of the latest multimedia components that highlight area facilities, upcoming events as well as a new static menu bar at the bottom of every page that keeps users one click away from the DSC's Facebook and Twitter pages.
In addition, visitors will have access to multiple news and information resources, creating an unrivaled experience for both event organizers and fans when they plan their stay in the Motor City. An embedded video zone was also placed in a centralized location on the homepage to provide easy access to the latest on-demand video content.
The DSC is the first sports commission to utilize SIDEARM, who provides the software and technology that powers the websites of more than 690 college athletic programs, including the University of Detroit Mercy, Wayne State University and Eastern Michigan University.
"SIDEARM Sports is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the Detroit Sports Commission on their new website," said Jeff Rubin, CEO of SIDEARM Sports. "While we are proud to work with more than 690 collegiate athletic programs from around the United States and Canada, the Detroit Sports Commission is our first website of this type."
