Devolutions Launches Remote Desktop Manager for Mac Beta and Announces Flexible Licensing Model for IT Teams Using Both Windows &Amp; Mac Platforms
Montreal, Quebec (PRWEB) November 28, 2013 -- Devolutions, a Canadian-based enterprise software firm, announced today that it has launched the highly anticipated Mac Beta version of its flagship solution Remote Desktop Manager (RDM), which is used by over 200,000 IT pros in more than 100 countries.
Remote Desktop Manager for Mac Beta, which offers all of the features and benefits of its Windows-based predecessor, is currently being used by a limited number of IT pros and teams who volunteered to be part of Devolutions’ beta testing team.
“In just a few days since RDM for Mac Beta launched, it has been downloaded more than 500 times by our incredible community of IT pros,” commented Devolutions’ CEO and founder David Hervieux. “We’re extremely grateful for their support, and are inspired by the overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received so far. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank our software architect Richard Markiewicz, our senior software developer Benoît Sansregret and our software developer Jonathan Lafontaine. Without their expertise and hard work, none of this would have been possible.”
Devolutions also announced a new flexible licensing model, which will allow Remote Desktop Manager license-holders to use either the Windows or Mac version without having to pay extra which is unique in the remote desktop management industry.
“Many of our customers are IT teams who use a mix of both platforms,” added Mr. Hervieux. “Our new flexible licensing model makes it cost effective and very simple for them to switch from RDM for Windows to RDM for Mac -- or vice versa -- as their needs require. It’s just one of the ways that we’re always trying to make our customers’ lives easier, simpler and more efficient.”
As noted, Remote Desktop Manager for Mac Beta is currently being tested by a limited number of IT pros and teams. Based on their feedback and user experience, the company’s experts will implement final changes and officially release Remote Desktop Manager for Mac 1.0 in 2014. Additional information will be provided at that time, including download links.
In the meantime, IT pros and teams can download Remote Desktop Manager 9 (for Windows) by visiting http://remotedesktopmanager.com/Home/Download, and try the class-leading tool at no-cost for 30 days. After their trial period expires, they can continue using the Enterprise Edition for a nominal fee, or downgrade to the Standard Edition at no-cost.
