Diameter Health to Present at Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference

The presentation, “Striving for Semantic Interoperability,” is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 29, from 2 to 3 p.m. during the HIMSS Symposium on Health Information Exchange. Specific obstacles remain on how organizations can integrate and apply business rules to incoming medical data, a concept known as semantic interoperability. John D’Amore is a published expert and advocate for achieving semantic interoperability.
D’Amore and co-presenter Russ Leftwich, MD, will present in Bellini 2004. The session will include:
• Approaches to data exchange that support semantic interoperability;
• The role of vendors in semantic interoperability solutions;
• Clinical and business use cases for solutions to semantic interoperability; and
• Ways to improve the consistency and usefulness of CCDA implementations.
