Diego Almeida Joins Midwest Horseshoeing School Staff
Springfield, IL (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- Midwest Horseshoeing School (MHS) and Midwest Forge are delighted to announce Diego Almeida, CJF as a full time instructor and farrier beginning in 2014. Many people have already met "D" as he has been a part-time instructor at MWHS for the last two years. He has worked on, or with MHS students on many of our clients horses already. He has also helped from time to time with Midwest Forge accounts as well.
For those who have not met Diego, he is a AFA Certified Journeyman Farrier from Brazil. Diego has worked through an intense three year internship under Steve Sermersheim CJF, TE, AWCF. Diego also works alongside Steve as the resident farrier at the University of Illinois as well as Dr. Tom Monfort DVM Equine Veterinary Clinic near Clinton, IL. He is currently studying for his Therapeutic Endorsement with the AFA and his Associate with the Worshipful Company of Farriers, achievements that have been accomplished by very few people in the world.
Diego is a graduate from Midwest Horseshoeing School and former computer engineer in Brazil. In January of 2007 he moved to the United States. Horses have been part of his life since a young age. He started riding horses at the age of 10, and for over 15 years he trained and competed in jumping and dressage events.
Diego is actively involved with the certification process as an AFA approved tester. Helping others achieve higher levels of certification. Diego is also an avid forging competitor. After only one year of competing, Diego "High Pointed" into the open classes of the shoeing competitions he competes.
All of these events have created a solid foundation for his career as a farrier and educator and are why he was chosen to be a full time instructor at MWHS and employee of Midwest Forge. His dynamic personality along with his spontaneous behavior brings fun to the classroom and motivates MHS students. His work ethic, knowledge and craftsmanship bring an even higher level of service to Midwest Forge that everyone has come to expect.
