Dig-It! Games Adds New Problem-Solving Features to Top-Ranking App, Loot Pursuit: Tulum
Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- Following a successful launch that ranked its latest interactive educational game, Loot Pursuit: Tulum, among the top downloads in a number of industry categories, Dig-It! Games has added new features into the app to improve the skills-based math game for middle school students. Faced with solving Common Core curriculum-aligned math problems—ranging from arithmetic and long division, to numerical word and order problems— Loot Pursuit: Tulum players help recover and restore historically accurate artifacts stolen from the Maya site of Tulum in Mexico in this fun, educational game playing experience.
“Loot Pursuit: Tulum is a fun and challenging game,” said Stacie Lewin, blogger at Super Mommy to the Rescue. “Answering questions quickly and correctly allows you to recover the artifacts before the looters can escape. Once you’re done in the trenches, you can check out your loot and learn more about each item. It’s definitely a great game to work on math skills for students in grades 5-7. Even I must say I am a little rusty in quick thinking, but really enjoyed the game.”
Released last month, Loot Pursuit: Tulum has already ranked among the top 50 educational apps for families and kids, ages 9-11, according to app ranker AppAnnie. It also ranked among the top apps in the United States and across the world, including Finland, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, United Kingdom, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Canada—all top nations according to Pearson’s index of cognitive skills and educational attainment.
“We knew that teachers, parents, and students would be enthralled with Loot Pursuit: Tulum because it captures fun and adventure in a game that cements the foundation of mathematics,” said Suzi Wilczynski, president and founder of Dig-It! Games. “The app’s current popularity and player testimonies are proof of Dig-It! Games’ commitment to creating stimulating, high-quality gaming experiences.”
The updated version of Loot Pursuit: Tulum encourages students to focus on areas of improvement through the ability to select which math problem types to solve. Other user-friendly features in Version 1.1 include the ability to reset partial answers and bypass particular problems, as well as the addition of improved visual aspects.
Loot Pursuit: Tulum is Dig-It! Games’ latest app to address the educational needs of the important middle-school demographic. MayaNumbers and Can U Dig It! also cater to the specific age-appropriate learning demands of children ages 11 and up. All three Dig-It! Games apps are available for free download on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch via the iTunes App Store.
