Sometimes there can be file fragments left which can be recovered, there can be traces left on cloud storage or webmail accounts, and remember, when it comes to email there is a sender and a recipient, so sometimes the other side of the 'conversation' can yield treasures too, you just have to have the experience and expertise to know how to find and follow the breadcrumbs the right way. We can also authenticate emails to verify nothing shady went on, like someone trying to plant bogus emails to incriminate someone, and much more.”
