Digital Sports Group announce the winner of the FTBpro PFA Fans' Player of the Month for March
(PRWEB UK) 2 April 2014 -- Fans were asked to vote for their player of the month for March and they responded in their masses, giving their support to the players they feel have impressed them the most during the month.
The polls are now closed, the votes have been counted and it is now time to reveal the winner of the FTBpro PFA Fans' Player of the Month award for March 2014.
Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
The award comes following Hazard’s impressive performances for Chelsea throughout March in which he scored two goals and contributed two assists to keep Chelsea in the mix for the Premier League title.
Hazard set up two goals for team mate Andre Schurrle in the 3-1 win over West London neighbours Fulham and then followed that up with Man of the Match performances against both Tottenham in the 4-0 win and then again against Arsenal in the 6-0 win. Hazard scored from the penalty spot in both games to take his total number of goals for the campaign so far to 14.
Hazard’s goals helped Chelsea win three of their five games in March and with it, maintain Chelsea’s unbeaten home record this season. Chelsea have taken more points at home than any other team; 44 out of a possible 48.
Chelsea are second in the Premier League, just two points behind leaders Liverpool as the race for the Premier League title enters the final six games.
Chelsea’s remaining fixtures include home games against Stoke, Sunderland and Norwich with away trips to Swansea, Cardiff and title rivals Liverpool.
