It is a well proven international baseline that we are excited to share with our UAE partners.”
Over the years, the WSTC has delivered a successful program of change, and has created a partnering approach for joint MOD and industry planning, tasking, and delivery of weapons research.
Guy Tomlinson’s career achievements include successful delivery of the CW CDT Initial Operating Capability; leading the team through its transition to the Weapons Technology Centre; and the successful delivery of the first year of Full Operating Capability. In his prolific military career, Guy has been responsible for the airworthiness of VC10-K tankers and HERCULES C130K aircraft.
Enrico Villa, Director of Enterprise Development and Innovation at Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee, commented, “We are extremely pleased that Guy will be speaking at DITEC 2015, and look forward to his valuable insights during the conference. Guy Tomlinson’s experiences and knowledge in establishing the WSTC will be very important in providing a perspective for R&D in the UAE.”

TDC launched Takamul in 2011 to foster innovation and generate economic and societal value in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. The program supports innovation within knowledge-intensive industries, and aims to transform locally generated ideas into multipurpose activities that will seed economic advancement.
Co-located at IDEX, the DITEC 2015 Conference will take place on 25th and 26th February, 2015.
