Disadvantaged Schools and Homeless Shelter Receive Holiday Donations from ProGroup Network
Fairhaven, MA (PRWEB) December 26, 2013 -- This holiday season, the spirit of giving did not forgo CertaPro Painters National Accounts by ProGroup Network (ProGroup Network). For the second consecutive year, the painting and repair company partnered with the Marion Institute and identified economically-challenged elementary schools in the New Bedford, MA district in need of supplies. ProGroup Network presented the students with a colorful array of notebooks, crayons, marker sets, paints, coloring and activity books, card games and hats.
“The gifts sent a message to the kids that someone cares about them and that they matter. Principal Susan Beck of Hannigan Elementary couldn't keep her tears back when the students received the notebooks,” comments Zoe Hansen-DiBello, Marion Institute’s Grow Education Coordinator. “I wish there more companies like ProGroup Network stepping forward and helping New Bedford students get their needs met.”
Additionally, the commercial and residential painting company organized their annual employee food drive that benefited the New Bedford Homeless Shelter.
“It’s always a priority for us to support our community year-round; it is especially important to recognize the needs of underserved populations during the holiday season,” says Courtney Tamulevich, ProGroup Network’s Marketing Director.
In the past six months, ProGroup Network has helped raise more than $15,000 for sports uniforms and equipment for Apponequet High School’s football and cheerleading teams and donated epoxy flooring, paint and labor, whiteboard paint and a new television for the school’s facilities. The company is also a proud sponsor of The Boston Bruins, who also have strong community ties through various youth programs.
