Distiller Brings Whiskey Recommendation App to Android

Distiller’s app for Android follows the recent launch of their first mobile app for iOS in February, combining all the functionality of the Distiller web experience, with the convenience of personalized whiskey suggestions while on the go.

Whiskey consumption is booming worldwide. According to the Distilled Spirits Council, 2013 was a landmark year as American whiskey exports top $1.5 billion. Additionally, distilleries in the US have swelled from 70 to 623 in just 10 years, and are expected to reach 750 by 2014 according to the American Distilling Institute. Such increased popularity of whiskey make it difficult to try new options, and consumers are often influenced by price as a measurement of quality, or recommendations from bartenders or liquor stores looking for a sale.
