Distinguished Company, Big Statues, Rings in the Holiday Season with an Incredible Sculpture of Jesus and the Children
Provo, UT (PRWEB) December 07, 2016 -- The month of December rings in the Christmas spirit. The holiday season is the perfect time to celebrate the love of God and family and to create memories that will last forever. Jesus is God's perfect, indescribable gift. The amazing thing is that not only are we able to receive this gift, but we are able to share it with others on Christmas and every other day of the year. Without the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there would be no Christmas.
Big Statues was honored when they were approached with the request to create a unique, life-size statue of Jesus Christ and the children. The small town of Little River, Kansas, chose this precious idea for a statue to honor a well-known and loved woman in the community. She was known for her phenomenal ability to be a loving example and wonderful aunt to 19 boys and girls, whom she encouraged to come unto Christ every day. Each week as seats are filled at the Holy Trinity Church, the children are reminded of the importance of living a Christlike life. This statue will stand as a reminder to raise the children in Christ and to always influence them to do good.
The entire creation process for Jesus and the Children was quite exceptional. There was an enormous amount of time spent on the multiple figures to be able to render correctly the details of such a well known figure in history. It is a large statue of Jesus, with a child sitting on his lap and another child kneeling by his left side. The statue as a whole is over four feet high, and that's with Jesus seated. Matt Glenn of Big Statues led this project once again to ensure that everything was accurately portrayed. "The focus of this entire project was not only to create a beautiful and recognizable Jesus for the community, but to create a feeling of welcoming and immediate connection," Glenn said. "The statue was sculpted in a way that invokes a feeling of inspiration and grace. It sends a message to all viewers to come unto Christ, and be as a little child. It motivates people to do good in the world, and for that reason, I cherish this project."
