Diversified Machine Systems (DMS) Hosts the DMS World HQ Grand Opening for International Expansion
Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) November 21, 2013 -- Diversified Machine Systems, a leading US-based 3 & 5 axis CNC machine center designer and manufacturer in Colorado Springs, CO, held the DMS World HQ Grand Opening event at the new 1068 Elkton Drive location in Colorado Springs on Thursday, November 14th.
The 100+ person event included tours of the expanded facility, both the 50,000 square foot production floor and 20,000 square feet of office space - concluding with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance. The special guests including clients, vendors, and local and state government representatives, including County Commissioner, Dennis Hisey, Colorado Springs City Council Members, Don Knight and Keith King, and Annie Oatman-Gardner of US Senator Michael Bennet’s office. The Colorado Springs Gazette, the Colorado Springs Business Journal and WoodworkingNetwork.com all sent representatives to cover the story.
Tours included a guided fact sheet, a manufacturing floor tour and separate office tour where guests saw the expanded production capacity, new training center, and complete manufacturing operations that makes DMS an international competitor. Fagor Automation, one of the world’s largest automation companies and partner to DMS, had staff members fly in for the occasion to assist with the tours and expansion plan discussions.
On Saturday, November 9th, Diversified Machine Systems was awarded the Regional Business Alliance Excellence in Manufacturing Award, a few days prior to the Grand Opening. In just the past year, DMS has had over 20% growth in staff, with international machine sales in over a dozen countries and continuing support service to over 3,500 machines worldwide. With their expanding operations, DMS has already utilized 408 tons of steel before November YTD.
