Each year, at the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance Gala, an Excellence in Manufacturing Award is given to leading companies from the manufacturing sector. Any nominee is welcome that fit one of the following criteria. DMS submitted a nomination covering all four.
1. A significant increase in revenue (as compared to the last three years) with a reason for the increase
2. New program, product, or service with significant impact on the business, community, and/or the industry
3. Solving a problem more efficiently than in the past
4. Revised operations to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness
For each outlined target, DMS had already exhibited measurable growth, such as exceeding sales expectations, the opening of a new world HQ with expanded manufacturing capacity, development of custom machinery to meet international workplace safety requirements for a variety of industries, additional local community involvement, improved productivity and effectiveness, as well as exhibiting for the first time at the world’s largest machining expo, EMO Hannover 2013 in Germany.
