Allentown, PA (PRWEB) October 12, 2015 -- DME is pleased to announce its participation in next year’s INTERPHEX 2016 Technical Education Program. The program, entitled DME Facility Focus, encompasses feedback and analysis regarding the latest industry trends and technologies affecting manufacturing facilities in the life sciences sector. Based on survey data derived from polling a range of professionals across the industry, DME engineers and industry experts will provide analysis and insight into the future of cGMP facilities, as well as practical guidance on how new technologies can transform current manufacturing operations. Participation in the surveys is being extended to engineers, manufacturers, and other experts in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Two tracks will be available: Biopharmaceutical Facility Modernization and Aseptic Manufacturing Technology Trends. Biopharmaceutical Facility Modernization will focus on current trends and technologies available to transform legacy facilities, in order to enhance bio-manufacturing flexibility and ensure the reliability of the drug substance supply train. Topics include process automation, single-use, closed processing, continuous processing, facility segregation, and risk management. Aseptic Manufacturing Technology Trends will focus on sterile manufacturing technology trends that manage risk and enhance product quality in parenteral fill/finish facilities. Topics include implementation of barrier isolation/RABS, single-use, serialization, and product protection.
According to Dave Marks, P.E. and President of DME, “This is a prime opportunity to poll those who work within the industry and respond to everyday challenges regarding the adoption of new technologies and priorities when expanding or updating their facilities. We wanted to collaborate with INTERPHEX because it is the leading show where industry leaders come to learn, discuss, and make decisions regarding the future of their development and manufacturing facilities.”
