DNB Engineering Company Owners Win NHRA Excellence in Engineering Award
Fullerton, CA (PRWEB) March 11, 2015 -- DNB Engineering Inc., a full service test lab and world leader and recognized expert in certification testing, is elated to announce DNB company owners and brothers President Bryan Broaddus and Executive Vice President Doug Broaddus recently won the Aerospace Components NHRA Excellence in Engineering Award at the Circle K NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, California.
The prestigious award specific “Wally” (NHRA trophy) is presented to an individual who brings a unique edge in craftsmanship and technology to each NHRA national event.
Campaigned by both Bryan and his brother Doug Broaddus of Broaddus Brothers Racing, their winning 2012 Camaro Super Stocker is the latest example of quality craftsmanship to come from the highly reputed PMR (Phil Mandella Racing) shop.
“We purchased a body in white back in 2010 from Mike English, our local Chevy dealer,” said Bryan Broaddus. “Then in 2013 we took it to PMR and had them build the chassis. When we completed powdercoating the frame and tubing, it went to Don and Todd Barton for painting then back to PMR for final assembly.”
The NHRA Excellence in Engineering award at the Winternationals is a first for both PMR and Broaddus Brothers Racing.
Formerly known as the Best Engineered Car Award, the Aerospace Components NHRA Excellence in Engineering Award will be presented at 12 NHRA Mello Yello race events this 2015 season to an individual who brings a unique edge in craftsmanship and technology to each NHRA national event. The award is voted on by the NHRA Tech Department and past winners have included unique chassis builders, drivers that feature distinctive parts and plugs and individuals who work to design and test unique concepts. Winners of the Aerospace Components NHRA Excellence in Engineering Award will also be featured in National Dragster after each event.
