Doctors Vs. Lawyers Classic Bowling Showdown for Inaugural "The Big Lebongski" Championship Looms at Pinz
Studio City, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2015 -- The Bowling Bout of the Century takes place on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 10:20 pm at PINZ, 12655 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604.
The Big Lebongski Bowling League was launched last September with six charter members -- The Burbank Canna Warriors (Cannabis Career Institute, Burbank), Starling (Cannabis Business Group, Sherman Oaks), D.W.A. -- Doctors With Attitude -- (Evaluations, North Hollywood), Wrecked (Andres Auto Body, North Hollywood), 420 Nurses (Hottest Dang Models on the Planet, Woodland Hills) and The Holy Rollers (Green Angel Dispensary, Northridge)
While attendance may have been erratic at times during the debut session of the league, a pair of rolling- thunder powerhouse teams did emerge – D.W.A. (Doctors With Attitude) and Starling (Cannabis Business Group). Fittingly, the two squads are the ones squaring off for all the TBL marbles including the prestigious The Big Lebongski Bowling League Trophy.
The Big Lebongski Bowling League Trophy is a spectacular piece of glasswork that was designed and constructed by Jim Embrescia, founder and owner of Los Angeles Glassblowing (http://www.losangelesglassblowing.com) and one of the most renowned glass-blowing bong-smiths on the planet. A self-described “artist, muse and problem-solver”, Embrescia had this to say about his seriously cool, hand-crafted creation – The Big Lebongski’s bowling homage to the “Stanley Cup”…”Similar to hockey’s holy grail, where champions celebrate by drinking champagne from a bowl at the top of the hardware, The Big Lebongski Bowling League Trophy also has a practical use for celebration – with a different kind of bowl of course -- for the victors.”

Matt Key, Captain of D.W.A. and co-owner of NOHO Evaluations in North Hollywood, did indeed display some combative attitude by declaring, “Please advise the legal team that they will swept off the lanes with our talent, skill and precision rolling. The Big Lebongski Bowling League Trophy is going to look smashing sitting in our NOHO Lobby. We just hope they show up for the match.”
Fired back Eric Shevin, Skipper of STARLING CBG (Cannabis Business Group) in Sherman Oaks, “The good doctors must be collectively suffering from amnesia as we spanked them pretty hard in our last regular season match. I suggest they get the 420 Nurses in their corner to help them through any emotional distress once we hand them their lunch on the lanes…again!”
