DocuCopies.com Donates $1K to Support Louisiana Flood Victims
San Luis Obispo, California (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- This month the online color printing company DocuCopies.com donated $1,000 to support some of their print-industry brethren who recently lost their homes to flooding in Louisiana.
Thanks to a call to action on PIWorld.com (the online version of print-industry publication Printing Impressions), employees of Franklin-Data Empowered Direct Marketing are getting help from clients, friends, colleagues and the general public after many lost their homes to the August flooding, which caused over $8.7 billion in damage and claimed 13 lives.
"Losing a home to natural disaster is something most people will never experience, but one need only turn on the news to see how suddenly someone's life can be washed away," says David Pressley, president and CEO of DocuCopies.com. "It's during these times that people from all walks of life step up and show their humanity to those in need. We're appreciative to PIWorld for helping spread the word and want to do our part to spread it further."
The GoFundMe page shows a goal of $10,000. As of Tues., Sept. 20, the page had raised just under $7,500.
