DOES AGE REALLY MATTER? A Short Film Created to Honor Seniors Tells it All

Senior living is really about a true sense of belonging for seniors and their families. It’s about creating an environment where everyone feels celebrated, welcomed and acknowledged for who they are. The film opens with a senior who is asked a pivotal question, “When doing things that you love, do you think age really matters?” The answer is both thought provoking and inspirational. “Age doesn’t matter, its growth, but only in a different way” says Ruthie, who is an accomplished artist in a senior living community in Thousand Oaks, California. We learn some philosophical nuggets of wisdom from Neil, who points to us and declares, “If anyone asks you what time it is, you tell them the time is now!” Just one bit of wisdom referred to as “Neil’s Nuggets”. The staff is constantly rewarded with insight from residents who share a lifetime of wisdom and experience.
