Domino Magazine Opens First Brick and Mortar
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 05, 2016 -- Domino magazine has reason to celebrate this holiday season, as its first retail presence – a pop-up experience at 35 Great Jones Street in lower Manhattan – was shopped by the Hollywood elite this weekend, with proceeds going to the Family Equality Council. The opening night event was co-hosted by Jason Weinberg, Audrey Gelman and Nathan Coyle, and attended by Emma Watson, Zac Posen, Mike Myers, Zachary Quinto, Carla Gugino, Morgan Spurlock, Cynthia Rowley, Christie Brinkley, David O. Russell, Thom Filicia, and Alysia Reiner. Mike Myers was ogling pottery while Zachary Quinto purchased some baskets for his apartment.
Over the weekend the shop welcomed more than a thousand customers, selling hundreds of items, with a portion of profits going to the Family Equality Council. Because the holidays are all about families—and creating love, warmth and magic for people of all ages—Domino is proud to support the Family Equality Council as part of this initiative.

Drawing from this universal outlook, Domino curated the Holiday Dream concept to bring people together in a colorful, festive and inspired environment.”

The Domino Holiday Dream, a pop-up store located at 35 Great Jones Street in New York City, brings the winter issue to life through inspired objects and experiences. The shop will be open from 11am-8pm Friday-Sunday through December 18th. The shop contains thousands of products curated by Domino’s editorial staff from colorful glassware from Anna Karlin, to hand-painted home accessories from Fort Makers, and graphic textiles from Cold Picnic.
Each weekend will also host special workshops upstairs at Great Jones Studio. This past Saturday, December 3rd, Domino hosted a sold-out workshop for wreath making with Kristen Caissie of Moon Canyon, whose hand-made wreaths are on sale in the store below. Tickets are sold at $100 each. The weekend of December 9th will celebrate colorful graphic design and girl power with Audrey Gelman of The Wing and Pamela Bell of Prinkshop. And the weekend of December 16th will feature the city/country style of Hawkins NY, a party food and presentation workshop by Camille Becerra, and gift wrapping instruction from Rebecca Thuss of Thuss + Farrell.
