Don’t Forget to Check Your Boobies: She’s Not Just a Cancer Survivor — Bershan Shaw is a Warrior
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 12, 2015 -- Two-time, stage-four breast cancer survivor Bershan Shaw wasn’t born a warrior—she became one. Two weeks before her wedding, Bershan heard she had three months to live. Undaunted by that grim news, she turned to her faith and modern medicine, believing she would be healed.
Seven years later, Bershan is cancer free. Now, she is helping others who are battling cancer and other challenges. Her upgraded website, URAWARRIOR.com, offers, among other things, a cancer forum community and cancer topic discussion.
URAWARRIOR.com was born in the chemotherapy room where Bershan’s friends and family were sharing personal struggles. URAWARRIOR.com is a social networking community designed to help people battling both mental and physical struggles.
America has now entered into a grave state of a national health crisis with the disease. Every 23 minutes someone dies of breast cancer and it is plaguing too many women (1 out of every 8) and men (1 out every 1000). While many strides have been made, people are getting sicker and sicker without getting the help they need.
As part of Warrior Pink Challenge “Stay Abreast Keep Abreast” for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the website offers day-to-day breast cancer awareness challenges, tips, and meditative quotes for its visitors, at no cost, and provides a daily newsletter for the month as part of an effort to bring attention to the cause. Bershan will share her story of triumph and how she beat the cancer odds.
Visitors are also invited to share and upload their own warrior breast cancer stories online.
Five (5) lucky warriors will be selected throughout the month October who are leading the way in the fight against breast cancer. Grand Prize Winner: Receive One (1) Gift Bag from URAWarrior and Ming Wang valued at $1000 and the grand prize winner will be interviewed and featured on URAWarrior.com. The winners will be announced November 5, 2015.
