“Adam didn’t have a mama. And I am pretty sure he never sent Eve to Lowe’s to pick up parts for his chain saw. I have tried to put myself in their shoes. What would I have done if Satan had tempted me with a piece of fruit? I’m not sure, but I think he would have had to come up with something a little more enticing than a piece of fruit. I don’t think I would have given up Paradise for fruit. On the other hand, if that had been a Keebler elf up in that tree with a box of chocolate chip cookies, we probably would have been kicked out of the garden even sooner.”
