DoubleDutch Announces iBeacon-enabled Features for Live Events

One of DoubleDutch’s new features, called ‘Head Count,’ seamlessly tracks session attendance based on attendees’ proximity, while ‘Network Nearby’ provides an easy way for attendees to see when interesting people are nearby. Both features are available now for event organizers to implement at their conferences, tradeshows, and meetings. DoubleDutch has plans to build additional location-based features leveraging this technology into its event platform this year.

In addition, DoubleDutch is using beacons to make it easier for event attendees to network with each other. The Network Nearby feature allows attendees to see when someone they have followed is nearby, facilitating serendipitous, real-life connections during the event.
