Douglas M. Bregman Named Distinguished Maryland Real Property Practitioner of The Year

Bregman, has been named the “Distinguished Maryland Real Property Practitioner” for 2016-2017 by unanimous decision of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Real Property Section selection committee.
The award was presented at the MSBA Annual Business Meeting in Ocean City, Maryland on June 16, 2017. The award recognizes the highest level of technical skill, client service, experience, integrity, collegiality and courtesy among Maryland’s real estate lawyers.
Mr. Bregman was recognized for his dedication and contribution to the legal profession, the Maryland State Bar Association, his colleagues and clients over his 40-year career.
He has been nationally recognized in the field of real estate and is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL). In addition to his contributions to his law firm, Mr. Bregman serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center and Columbia Law School.
Mr. Bregman has also been recognized as one of the top lawyers in Washington, DC. by Washingtonian Magazine. He is listed in both the Maryland and Washington D.C. Super Lawyers publications and U.S. News Best Lawyers. He also serves on the Maryland Appellate Judicial Nominating Commission and the Board of Directors of the Maryland Client Protection Fund. Mr. Bregman has also received the Montgomery County Bar Foundation Honorary Life Bar Leader Award and the Maryland State Bar Association’s Pro Bono Service Award.
