Dr. Arthur Keiser, Chancellor of Keiser University, Names Dr. Gary Vonk President of Flagship Campus
West Palm Beach, Florida (PRWEB) June 28, 2016 -- Dr. Arthur Keiser, Chancellor of Keiser University, has announced that Dr. Gary Vonk, has been named president of Keiser University’s Flagship campus located at 2600 North Military Trail in West Palm Beach. Dr. Vonk has been with the university since 2007, having formerly served as president of the Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach campuses, and Associate Vice Chancellor for Keiser University’s growing Graduate School and Online Division.
“Dr. Vonk has a long proven commitment to innovation and providing students with opportunities to gain the knowledge, understanding, and talent needed to achieve their professional goals through education,” said Dr. Keiser. “His extensive history of academia, business, civic, and philanthropic leadership in Palm Beach County makes him the perfect fit to lead the advancements at our Flagship campus,” he added.
In July 2015, Keiser University announced that it had achieved its long term goal of establishing a Flagship campus in Florida with the acquisition of Northwood University’s West Palm Beach campus. In less than one year, Keiser University relocated and quickly expanded its popular College of Golf and Sport Management campus to the Flagship campus. The University also launched a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine College, announced a Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Global Leadership, nearly doubled its degree offerings, and expanded its 17-sport NAIA / Sun Conference athletics to include lacrosse and swimming.

Vonk is well-known throughout the West Palm Beach community for his charitable work as a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin County, and his service on the fundraising campaigns of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and United Way.
Vonk said that he looks forward to continuing the progress of the Flagship campus which welcomes a community influenced and collaborative approach. His strong business background and commitment to local partnerships will ensure the innovations at the campus, including the Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Global leadership, become both student and community successes.
