Dr. Pitt is World Vision International’s former Senior Vice President for Organizational Effectiveness and holds a PhD in business strategy and ethics from Cambridge University. He brings over 40 years senior level humanitarian and private sector experience to Global Food Exchange™.
Dr. Pitt’s expertise in creating sustainable public and private sector partnerships will prove highly valuable to Global Food Exchange™, as they expand their international network of strategic partners. He is committed to making people, businesses, organizations and NGO's more efficient, and capable of greater impact with less. Notably, Dr. Pitt lead World Vision International’s Culture Change and Re-engineering Project from January 2005-May 2008, which sought to effectively manage World Vision’s growth, strategic expansion and enhanced capacity. Prior to his appointment to SVP for Organizational Effectiveness, Dr. Pitt held a variety of leadership positions at World Vision, including Middle East & European Director of Operations, Director for Micro-Economic Development and Country Director for World Vision Romania, where he led a $36m annual program. Dr. Pitt’s contributions have helped position World Vision International as one of the world’s leading relief and development agencies.
