Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh Wins 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh, founder and executive director of the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), has been awarded the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal for her accomplishments in the field of autism treatment. Dr. Granpeesheh founded CARD 25 years ago and has made it her mission to increase autism awareness and access to treatment until every individual who has autism is identified and gets the treatment that he or she needs. The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual with long-term business achievements and successes in their career and their dedication to the industry they serve. The ceremony took place during the Women in Business luncheon on Tuesday, April 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, Calif.

Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh has dedicated over 30 years to helping individuals with autism lead healthy, productive lives. She began her studies in autism as an undergraduate at UCLA and earned a Master’s degree in psychology from UCLA in 1987, followed by a Ph.D. in psychology from UCLA in 1990. In 1990, Dr. Granpeesheh founded CARD, and under her leadership, CARD has become one of the world’s largest providers of applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Since 1990, CARD has grown to 37 locations in 14 states and multiple international sites.
