Dr. Jacqueline Trejo to Launch EncintaSkin, the First Prenatal Skincare Line Developed by an OB-GYN/Mom
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- As both an OB-GYN and a mother Dr. Jacqueline Trejo was all too familiar with the skincare issues that pregnant women encounter. Her patients were looking for safe, natural products to combat stretch marks and dull skin. As many women can attest, the “pregnant glow” is not something that all expectant mothers experience. After realizing that there was no comprehensive product line on the market, she decided to start her own, EncintaSkin. The name comes from the Spanish word for pregnancy, and is a nod to her Peruvian roots as well as the unique Andean3 complex used in the line. As she puts it, “I created this body and facial line for busy women, often mothers of young children, who want to take a proactive stance against some preventable issues that can often harm skin, while still using organic products that are safe for the baby inside.” The products combat everything from tired muscles to sensitive or itchy skin.
Encinta Skin was formulated using Andean botanicals which are high in Omega 3s and antioxidants. These botanicals make up Andean3 Complex, one of the key ingredients in the products. Dr. Trejo was introduced to these cell-fortifying oils in her native Peru. According to Dr. Trejo, “These ingredients offset inflammation which can be a major cause of wrinkles and premature aging.”
The line consists of three items for the face (Anti-Aging Facial Creme, Anti-Aging Eye-Lifting, Creme, and Multi-Protection and Recovery Sun Creme) and three items for the body (Stretch Mark Oil, Hydrating Body Balm, and Leg Massage Serum). Encinta Skin products are USDA certified as organic. “My patients did not know much about the ingredients in the skincare treatments they were using. It was important to me that everything we used was organic and safe during pregnancy. Women may unwittingly use 'natural products that actually contain ingredients that should be avoided while pregnant,” she explains.
Encinta Skin will be launching in Spring 2014. All products are made in City of Orange, California.
