Radio Frequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) is a new FDA-approved procedure that is an improvement over older liposuction methods of removing unwanted fat because of the excellent skin tightening it provides. RFAL is a versatile procedure that reduces fat and improves skin laxity in multiple body areas and is known in the United States as BodyTite and FaceTite.
RFAL is the sole procedure that combines the elements of melting fat and tightening skin into a single process. Traditional liposuction can leave large areas of unwanted lax skin that often can give a “flabby” appearance with undesired skin folds. RFAL tightens the skin mostly over the first 3-4 months after treatment with improvement gains up to 12 months. The results, however, last for several years.
