Dr. Marc J. Salzman, Salzman Cosmetic Surgery and Spa, Named to Prestigious Network by Aesthetics Biomedical
PHOENIX (PRWEB) November 09, 2017 -- The innovators at Aesthetics Biomedical, a leading aesthetics device development and innovation corporation announce that Dr. Marc J. Salzman, Salzman Cosmetic Surgery and Spa, has been named to the company’s KOIN: Knowledge Opinion Innovation Network. Dr. Salzman is a well-respected board certified plastic surgeon with a very successful practice in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Salzman has been using Aesthetics Biomedical’s leading product, The Vivace microneedling with radio frequency with great results. Aesthetics Biomedical launched the best in class device, The Vivace, in early 2016.
The goal of KOIN is to bring together the most trusted dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and aesthetics practitioners to provide input to the company’s new product and experience offerings, to participate in clinical studies and to educate other physicians on best practices with Aesthetics Biomedical’s devices and experience products.
“Our position as a leader in innovation relies on the valuable feedback and expertise of the physicians with whom we work. We value learning about their experiences with our products used with their patients on a daily basis. We are thrilled to have Dr. Salzman as part of our KOIN. Dr. Salzman is a great advocate for what we do, invested in his Vivace early and is extremely knowledgeable in RF microneedling technologies. He has seen great success with our FDA-cleared device and our medical-grade experience kits that include treatment serums and recovery agents. We have carefully selected our team of influencers to be part of KOIN, and we are honored to have several highly respected physicians as partners for the future,” says MaryAnn Guerra, CEO of Aesthetics Biomedical.
Dr. Marc J. Salzman is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Louisville, Kentucky. Has was an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the Tulane University School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he completed his residency in general surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical School in New York, followed by a fellowship in plastic surgery at Duke University Medical Center. Since 1992, he has been in the private practice of aesthetic plastic surgery with an appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Louisville. Dr. Salzman has been recognized as a “Top Plastic Surgeon” in the Louisville media. He has been published in plastic surgery journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a speaker and key opinion leader in the industry. He has also lectured at local, regional and national plastic surgery and laser meetings.
Dr. Salzman is the past president of the Kentucky Society of Plastic Surgeons and a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. His full-service aesthetics practice in Louisville consists of an AAAASF operating suite as well as a state-of-the-art med-spa offering cosmetic injectables, body contouring, laser, light and energy device therapies.
“As a board certified plastic surgeon, practicing aesthetic plastic surgery for 25 years, I have used just about everything from phenol and TCA peels to C02 and Erbium laser resurfacing, as well as nitrogen plasma for skin resurfacing. We were looking for something a little less aggressive for treating skin texture that could be done easily by ancillary providers. I am pleased to have found microneedling with radio frequency with The Vivace to be an excellent alternative to more aggressive resurfacing procedures. I have found that just about everyone, of any skin type, tan or pale, male or female, young or aged is a candidate for this treatment. We can do The Vivace in the afternoon and have the patient look acceptable the next day for any social engagement or work environment.
“Our results have exceeded my expectations and all the patients we have treated have been satisfied. Not a single patient has asked for a refund. (First device in the history of my practice). We have seen excellent results with acne scars, fine wrinkles, coarse texture and large pore size. Some reds have also been diminished. We can treat red, brown, texture, pore size, fine wrinkles and tighten the skin in one treatment with very little downtime. Patients really like this option. We use The Vivace as a standalone treatment, last modality after deep laser resurfacing to decrease pore size, and as preparation or upkeep of the skin quality of a facelift. I would highly recommend The Vivace for any aesthetics practice,” says Dr. Salzman.
KOIN members will additionally represent Aesthetics Biomedical at industry events and workshops, speak at tradeshows and conferences, write scientific papers and participate in clinical trials. They are available to talk with potential clients of ABM to answer questions about their experiences with ABM devices and products.
To date, six members have been named to KOIN and the advisory group will likely grow to approximately ten members.
