Dr. Michael Gabriel, Founder of the Staten Island-based PATH Family Center, Receives Generous Donation from Families
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- Dr. Michael Gabriel, founder of the PATH Family Center, receives a $12,000 check from the Viking Love NYC, Pour House and the Evers family. This money will be used to provide scholarships to families in need, for biomedical treatments at the PATH Family Center.
An article published on January 14 by Home Reporter News titled “Viking Love NYC Celebrates the PATH Family Center,” states that the PATH Family Center, located in Staten Island, was founded by Dr. Michael Gabriel after he took a particular interest in helping children with Allergies, ADHD and Autism. The center offers “integrative and nutritional interventions” with individuals diagnosed with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, food allergies, etc.
Ean Evers, President of Viking LOVE NYC and his sister, Aelish McLeer, have been working with Dr. Gabriel throughout the treatment of Evers’s daughter, Mae Beth, 14-year-old girl who has yet to be given a proper diagnosis.
McLeer explains that because of less-than-concrete diagnosis of her niece, treatment options have been difficult. However, the services that Dr. Michael Gabriel and the PATH Center have provided for them have made the situation easier, which is why Aelish says it was imperative that they gave back to the center. “We’re just very grateful,” she says. “This money is really going to help families who need the PATH Center.”
Dr. Michael Gabriel of Gabriel Pediatrics says the donation will help the PATH Family Center with its mission to provide the best care possible for all families. “The money raised by the Evers family, Viking Love NYC and the Pour House will allow us to continue providing quality services and aid to those with autism as well as their families,” he says. “An autism diagnosis, not only for the individual but their caregivers as well, can be an extremely daunting experience. We aim to lessen the burden of the diagnosis and help our patients and their families navigate through all the treatment and educational options available to them. We feel it is imperative to provide families with educational and emotional support through our experienced staff and a network of families sharing the same challenges."
