Dr. Ron Brlansky Joins PathSensors Scientific Advisory Board
Baltimore, Maryland (PRWEB) September 28, 2017 -- PathSensors, Inc., a leading pathogen detection company that works in industries spanning Biodefense, Agriculture, Mail-Screening and Food Safety has appointed a new member to their Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Ron Brlansky, University of Florida Professor Emeritus with over 25 years in citrus disease research, with main emphasis on the detection and identification of causal agents of systemic diseases of citrus.
Dr. Ron Brlansky received his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology/Plant Virology from Louisiana State University and became a Professor of Plant Pathology in 1990. Dr. Brlansky has been an active member of the American Phytopathological Society (APS), Southern Division of the American Phytopathological Society and the Caribbean Division of APS. He was Associate and Senior Editor of Plant Disease, Editor of the Proceedings of the Eleventh Conference of the International Organization of Citrus Virologists, Secretary/Treasurer of the APS Caribbean Division and President of APS Caribbean Division.
Dr. Brlansky will play a key role as a scientific advisor in developing citrus diagnostic products utilizing CANARY® technology.
