Dr. Sara Terheggen Joins ACG Silicon Valley Board of Directors
San Jose, California (PRWEB) December 06, 2016 -- ACG Silicon Valley today announced that Dr. Sara Terheggen, Corporate Partner, Morrison & Foerster LLP, has been named to its board of directors. As the Valley’s premier business organization, ACG Silicon Valley is dedicated to bringing together a group of leaders assembled by invitation only and providing a unique experience with like-minded senior executives.
Dr. Terheggen has been honored by numerous organizations for her leadership and community involvement, including The Recorder, Public Counsel, the University of Oregon, and Super Lawyers. The Silicon Valley Business Journal also named her one of its 2016 Women of Influence and one of its 40 under 40.
Dr. Terheggen is the California delegate for Vision 2020, a national campaign to advance American women’s economic and social equality. As an ACG Silicon Valley board member she will lead a collaboration between Vision 2020 and the ACG community. Several joint events will be announced for 2017.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Dr. Terheggen worked for Skadden, Arps and Simpson Thacher. In addition to her legal career, she has more than 10 years of experience in the development, management and assessment of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) initiatives. She previously served as director of assessment for UC Merced School of Engineering and was the founding education director for the National Science Foundation Center for Embedded Networked Sensing at UCLA. She received her B.S. from the University of Oregon, her M.Ed. and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University, and her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
