DrivingHistory.com Creating Guide on What to Do If You Get Pulled Over
Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 29, 2013 -- DrivingHistory.com is set to launch a guide that will help drivers know what they need to do when they see flashing red lights in their rear view mirror, the company said yesterday.
“When people get pulled over, they tend to panic,” a DrivingHistory.com spokesman said. “Nobody teaches you in school what you need to do during a traffic stop. Yet, the way you handle the stop can often make the difference in whether you get a ticket, how much the ticket is for, or if you end up jail seeking bail. So, we want to do what we can to educate consumers about what to do during a traffic stop.”
The guide was put together with the help of former law enforcement officials, he said, and is designed to make things easier and safer for both police and drivers.
“You have to remember that a police officer has a good deal of discretion when he or she pulls you over,” the DrivingHistory.com spokesman said. “You also have to understand that people can accidentally do things that anger the officer, or make them feel like they are in danger. We want to minimize that accidental behavior.”
The guide will take people step by step through what they need to do when they get pulled over, he said, and will be written in plain English.
“We just want to do what we can to help people make the best of a bad situation,” he said. “The guide will be posted directly to the members' area of our site.”
