(DRT) (http://www.drtstrategies.com), a leading management and technology consulting firm, announced today that the U.S. Department of Commerce has awarded the company the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) systems engineering and integration contract to modernize the data base and associated applications the agency uses to manage Federal use of electromagnetic spectrum. DRT will specifically architect, design, and develop robust systems that support highly complex data analyses and modernize NTIA’s Frequency Management Records System (FMRS) and Frequency Authorization Management Program (FAMP). The value of the contract is $6.3 million over 12 months.
“The rapid proliferation of wireless technology dictates the need for NTIA to help Federal agencies more effectively and efficiently utilize allocated spectrum resources,” commented Michael Duffy, executive vice president at DRT Strategies, who previously ran the Department of Justice Integrated Wireless Program and worked extensively with NTIA. “The systems DRT develops have great impact on our customers and our nation’s citizens. We look forward to enhancing NTIA’s tools for collection, retrieval, and analysis of technical and logistical data regarding the use of radio and electromagnetic spectrum for national defense, public safety, and other important Federal agency missions.”
