Drummond Group Certifies First API Product to New 2015 Edition Criteria
AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) July 05, 2016 -- Drummond Group LLC, a leading accredited test lab and authorized certification body, announced Tuesday, July 5, 2016, that it is has issued the first certification for the new application program interface (API) criteria from the 2015 Edition Certification criteria of the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC).
Carefluence has been awarded certification for its Carefluence Open API 1.0 for API capabilities of patient selection, data category request and all data request.
“ONC, CMS and other stakeholders in the healthcare IT community are strongly championing APIs as a key way to share data and engage patients in their healthcare,” said Kyle Meadors, president of Drummond Group. “With this current certification criteria, ONC has begun the steps of standardizing APIs for widespread industry adoption. The new 2015 Edition certification criteria support requirements put forth by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) Meaningful Use Incentive Program and the newly proposed quality payment programs created by MACRA.
