Drupal Association Launches New Partner Program
Prague (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- Today at DrupalCon Prague the Drupal Association, the nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the Drupal open source project flourish, announced the launch of its new Technology Partner Program. The program is designed for software, tools and service providers who wish to engage the Drupal community and provide education about capabilities, integrations, and potential collaboration opportunities. In turn, Drupal developers, site builders, shops and agencies can extend their skills and web development knowledge base.
"Many of our customers run Drupal sites and everybody wins when the Drupal content management system, our CRM software and other software and tools all work together seamlessly," said John Mertic, Community Manager at Sugar CRM, which is a launch partner for the new program. "Drupal is one of the most robust, widely-used and feature-rich content management systems available and we’re very excited to engage with this great community."
In addition to Sugar CRM, inaugural Technology Partners include Cloud Troopers, Janrain, JetBrains, LingoTek, Microsoft and Verbatim Solutions. Fees from the program financially support the Drupal.org Tech Team, which is working to make significant improvements to the Drupal.org site. Drupal.org is the "community home" for the Project and is hosted and maintained by the Drupal Association.
Technology Partner Program benefits are designed to help partners engage the community in ways that are educational and supportive. Through the program, partners will interact with the community on Drupal.org, at DrupalCons, and through Drupal Association community communications like the newsletter and webinar program.
"Many Drupal websites today involve entire ecosystems of software, services and tools that come from various vendors and organizations," said Megan Sanicki, Associate Director of the Drupal Association. "The more pre-built integrations that exist throughout these ecosystems, the simpler it will be to develop, build and deploy Drupal sites to meet any requirement."
