DrupalCon Prague Opens to Attendees from More Than 50 Countries
Prague (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- The Drupal Association, the nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the Drupal open source project flourish, today opened the doors to DrupalCon Prague, Europe’s largest Drupal event featuring training sessions, networking events, lectures, keynotes, vendor exhibits and code sprints. The DrupalCon Prague audience is a diverse group of developers, designers and business executives representing more than 50 countries.
“DrupalCon attendees come from all over the world to learn together, do business together and see old friends,” said Holly Ross, Executive Director of the Drupal Association. “The Drupal community is large, growing and truly global, and that’s one of the reasons DrupalCon events are so energizing and fun. We’re really excited to be here in the beautiful city of Prague for this year’s European event.”
Keynotes at DrupalCon Prague feature global thought leaders including governance expert Lisa Welchman, experience designer Aral Balkan and Drupal founder and project lead Dries Buytaert. Buytaert’s presentation will focus on Drupal 8, the highly anticipated upcoming release of Drupal.
Drupal 8 will feature new technologies designed to improve the Drupal experience for developers, designers, themers, content strategists and admins. Several sessions at DrupalCon Prague will concentrate exclusively on Drupal 8 and a series of sprints have been organized to push the software further toward launch.
DrupalCon events take place twice per year - once in North America and once in Europe. In 2014, the North American event is scheduled for June in Austin, Texas. The 2014 European location will be announced during the closing session of DrupalCon Prague on September 27th.
