DSM President Hugh Welsh Joins Seafood Nutrition Partnership Board of Directors
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) December 11, 2015 -- The nonprofit Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP) has announced the newest member of its Board of Directors: Mr. Hugh Welsh, president and general counsel of DSM North America. DSM is a $12 billion global life-sciences and material-sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands. Mr. Welsh has served on the board of several prominent U.S. organizations including the American Chemistry Council, Partners in Food Solutions, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and the Safe America Foundation.
“I am proud to serve as part of the leadership of Seafood Nutrition Partnership,” said Mr. Welsh. “The organization has demonstrated effectiveness in communicating the health benefits of essential nutrients such as vitamins, carotenoids and lipids from seafood nutrition and a healthy diet, as well as through supplementation and fortification where required.”
“We are honored that Mr. Welsh is providing his thought leadership to Seafood Nutrition Partnership,” said Jack Kilgore, chairman of SNP. “Together with DSM and other members of the Board of Directors, we are focused on addressing America’s health crisis through public private partnerships represented by broad based industries and sectors that care about the health and wellness of our fellow citizens.”
