Duane Street Hotel Partners with Z!NK Magazine to Host Bi-Annual Fashion Bloggers Lounge in Celebration of New York Fashion Week
New York, New York (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- September has arrived in New York and with it comes the usual customs: a back-to-school attitude, a more populous city on the weekend, and the click of heels (and boots!) heralding the arrival of fashionistas for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. To celebrate, Duane Street Hotel is hosting its biannual Bloggers Lounge from September 6–8 for fashion and beauty bloggers. For this fall’s Lounge, the Tribeca boutique hotel has partnered with Z!NK Magazine to host both the Lounge as well as a designer showcase on the second floor.
The Blogger’s Lounge, located in Duane Street Hotel’s on-site restaurant Mehtaphor by Chef Jehangir Mehta, provides writers with a space to work, hold meetings and attend presentations. This September’s line-up includes talks from industry insiders, such as beauty expert Lora Condon, who was featured on Dr. Oz; Lauren Ruicci, founder of the megawatt accessories brand Laruicci; fashion photographer Maxim Bashchenko; and NYC-based Arrojo Salon, who is hosting an on-site braid bar.

The focus on fashion continues with a designer showcase on the hotel’s second floor. Participating designers include Elena Schimming, founder of Helene Jewelry, Alisha Trimble in conjunction with Y Gallery, and Carolina Amato. Representatives from each design house will be present to take private appointments with select items available for purchase.
Other perks for attendees include: a gift bag of goodies from select participating designers and complimentary cake pops courtesy of the Brooklyn based cake-pop bakery Fabipops. Members of the press will receive lash extensions or a 30-minute aroma reiki massage by beauty expert Lora Condon. Renowned Chef Jehangir Mehta, a contender on Food Network’s “The Next Iron Chef,” is offering an a la carte menu of light treats for bloggers to order. Mehta owns the much-loved Graffiti in the East Village and operates Mehtaphor.
