London, UK (PRWEB UK) 31 January 2014 -- Law firms regulated by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority (SRA) are required to collect, report and publish workforce diversity data on an annual basis. Duncan Lewis, authorised and regulated by the SRA, recently reported their data collected in December 2013.
With a workforce where 72% of the company’s staff was female, 53% between the ages of 25-34 with 10% over the age of 45 years; the data collected from the legal aid firm demonstrated a diverse workforce with a team and Board of Directors that spanned across a large number of different racial, educational and social backgrounds. The company’s board of directors were 50% female and also significantly ethnically diverse with reporting showing that the most prominent ethnic groups to be represented were Indian (45%); White (21%) and Pakistani (10%).
Duncan Lewis, the first UK Law firm to achieve the Investors in People Gold Standard award in 2009 reported that of its workforce that took party in the survey, 43% were Asian/Asian British, 59% attended a state school in the UK and 2% had a disability as defined by the Equality Act.
