DuPage County Attorney Chuck Roberts Announces Candidacy for 2015 Illinois State Bar Association Board of Governors
Wheaton, IL (PRWEB) January 15, 2015 -- Chuck Roberts is pleased to announce his candidacy for the 2015 Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Board of Governors seat for the 18th Judicial Circuit in DuPage County. Roberts’ focus will be on expanding ISBA member benefits while stabilizing membership dues.
While DuPage County is home to a substantial portion of the ISBA member body, the 27 member Board of Governors draws its membership from each area of the state.
“DuPage lawyers need a strong advocate on the ISBA Board to represent their interests and concerns. I will bring proven leadership to the Board and ask for your vote in the March 2015 election,” says Roberts.
Roberts is the President of Roberts PC, located in Wheaton, Illinois, where he has proudly served clients in the greater Chicagoland area for over 30 years. Roberts concentrates his practice in both family law and civil litigation. He grew up in DuPage County and completed his undergraduate work at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Roberts worked at Ford Motor Company as an Engine Engineer prior to graduating from Northern Illinois University’s College of Law in 1983. He is admitted to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court and is a member of the Federal Trial Bar in Chicago.
Roberts currently serves on the Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Section Council and the Standing Committee on Judicial Evaluations. He is also a current member of the DuPage County Bar Association Judiciary Committee. He has served as President of the DuPage County Bar Association and President and Director of the DuPage County Bar Foundation. For the Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission, he has served as a Member and Chair of the Review Board, a Chair of a Panel of the Hearing Board, Member of the Oversight Committee and a Member of the Hearing Board. He has also been a Delegate for the American Bar Association.
Roberts has long held the distinguished AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell for his high ethical standards and professional ability. In 2007, The DuPage Legal Assistance Foundation named Roberts PC “Law Firm of the Year.” Roberts has participated as a guest speaker at numerous continuing legal education events including the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission’s (ARDC) Annual Seminar and DuPage County Bar Association’s New Lawyer Basic Skills CLE Seminar.
Outside of the office, Roberts enjoys spending time with his wife Linda and their four children. His hobbies include snowmobiling, car collecting, and boating.
