DuPage Lawyer Is Candidate for Illinois State Bar Association Third Vice President

In July of 2014, Illinois gubernatorial candidate, Bruce Rauner, proposed expanding the Illinois sales tax to include businesses and occupations that provide legal services. McCluskey will advocate that the ISBA lobby to oppose this unnecessary burden on the cost of doing business for Illinois attorneys.
New and Improved ISBA Job Bank
McCluskey proposes that the ISBA implement a new and improved job bank for attorneys looking to hire attorneys. This new and improved job bank will provide quick and efficient hiring processes and help ensure a bright future for Illinois attorneys. Attorneys will keep their resumes updated in a database to broadcast and respond to job inquiries. The job bank will also benefit law firms looking to hire by eliminating the financial burden of advertising.
Keeping Membership Dues Down
McCluskey will strive to keep the cost of an ISBA membership at a reasonable rate, while offering information and resources that will provide a significant return on the member's investment. He wants to ensure that the ISBA members receive value from the organization.
